EXAMPLE OF USING MODEL Event1
To time stamp feeding habit of iguana lizard.

Time stamp up to a 1,028 feedings.

A simple wooden ramp is made incorporating a pressure switch.
When the iguana uses the ramp to access food, the switch contact
is logged by Event1.

The ramp is easily built using common materials.
The switch attaches to Model Event1 using
any 2 wire cable, eg. doorbell wire.

No power wires are required, just run the
switch cable to Model Event1

Switch is activated when iguana uses ramp.

At any time, Use a Palm PDA to collect the data.
The logger mission may range from a minute to several months.

You may read the logger through the glass, approximately 1 meter away.

After feeding, the iguana's habit is to move itself off
of the ramp and into the heated area of cage

Collect up to 1,028 time stamped readings.
Save in mini database.

Summary:
This example shows how simple it is to rig switch contacts for collecting data.
This could also apply to animal path usage outdoors, nest activity,
burrow entrance/exit activity of animals.

Model Event 1 can be protected from outdoor environments by
use of poly bags, or other containers. Also, it can be buried and hidden.

The logging can be performed without power wires.

Sensitive switch contacts may be made by rigging wire and
metal contrievances.
